Getting from TPA airport to the cruise port
Tampa International Airport (TPA) is about 15 minutes from the Channelside cruise terminals in normal traffic (per Port Tampa Bay) — one of the shortest airport-to-port runs in Florida.
Options
- Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) — pickups on the airport's designated rideshare level; drop at your terminal's address.
- Taxi — from the taxi stands at baggage claim.
- Cruise line transfers — most lines sell airport transfers; book through your cruise line.
- Rental car — then use port parking.
Route
Typical route: I-275 South → Downtown exits → Channelside Drive. Terminals: T2 651 Channelside Dr · T3 815 Channelside Dr · T6 1331 McKay St. Check your boarding pass for the terminal and the departures table for game-day traffic — Bucs games at Raymond James Stadium sit right beside the airport-to-downtown corridor.
Timing
Fly in the day before if you can. If flying in same day, most travelers aim to land by late morning; ask your cruise line for its cutoff time.
Fares and pickup locations aren't listed because they change; we'll add verified figures later.
